As the saying goes: “Keep Leucadia Funky.” Leucadia is a beloved beach community that was founded in 1870 by a group of spiritualists searching for religious freedom, and it grew over time into a haven for artists and surfers and free-spirited folks alike. It is now incorporated with the city of Encinitas, but it has kept much of its own identity offering a unique living experience in comparison to other Communities within Encinitas.

Why would you live here? The beach, of course! Among other things, Leucadia is home to some of the best beaches San Diego County has to offer, and it is home to great surfing, one of the best local farmer’s markets, a growing restaurant scene, surf shops, and is the summertime host to LeucadiART Walk which is a yearly art festival.
