Solana Beach is the gateway to Rancho Santa Fe to the east and Del Mar to the South. Hop on a double decker bus, and within minutes you are at the San Diego County Fairgrounds for the summer fair, the two horse racing seasons in summer and fall, and you can take in any number of additional events that go on at the fairground.
